Diving on Fuerteventura is one of the most impressive and relaxing activities one can experience. Professional dive instructors/dive masters from a dive school or centre will guide you. Most dive bases have boats, supply full equipment and provide interesting information about marine life. You can get lessons to your next level or speciality courses. Most schools follow the PADI system but other training systems like CMAS, CEDIP, NAUI & BARAKUDA are also available. Some centres have the possibility to experience Nitrox diving. Safety gets the highest priority.

The most interesting dive spots in the South of Fuerteventura are close to the Jandia lighthouse. The famous "Moray Eel Riff" is about 150m out of the coast and can be visited from the shore or from a boat, the latter being somewhat more comfortable. The plateau is at 14m depth and slides down to a 30m. This location is home to Black Breams, Mackerels, Barracudas, Sting Rays and occasionally to Angel Sharks and Turtles... and of course to the Moray Eel.

Marea Viva, the Surf, Dive and Sunset hotel in El Cotillo is located at the same place where once the old house of the legendary “Mamma Maria” was. Mama Mariquita Hierro received in 1983 a gold medal for her efforts to promote local tourism. She started 60 years ago to cook in her house for the tourists who also came into her living room to take a rest. Every day she cooked the same food - soup, fish stew and the real “Gofio”. The hotel has been run by a Spanish family since.
Dive Centre Jandia Divers is located in the Iberostar Hotel in Jandia, Fuerteventura. All levels are welcome.
Dive Centre Harry's Dive Base is located in the H10 Hotel Playa Esmeralda in Costa Calma, Fuerteventura. All levels are welcome and special attention is given to beginners. Scubapro and Aqualung equipment is for hire in their dive shop. Available are a course room, a small workshop, lavatory and shower. 
Dive Centre Oceanworld is located in Jandia, Fuerteventura and offers courses according to VDTL, CMAS, ETDO and PADI standards. Diving equipment is available for rent. Technical diving is possible with Buddy and Apeks equipment.
