EVO is a non-lucrative association that has been founded to re-create a union between people to re-establish a social interaction. We think that debating any theme and dismantling restricting dogmas could help us to compensate for the sensation of instability that we experience in present times. The initiatives of EVO are focused on artistic events, cultural exchange and meditation techniques.

Two lovely trips on the ancient Camino Reales, the royal roads. Betancuria is in the very centre of Fuerteventura. Both tracks, one shorter than the other, will show you the green centre of the island. You will discover the first capital and the oldest mountains of the Canary Islands and will enjoy miraculous views of the island. You will hear the wind sweep through the trees of the local forest and the neat BBQ place there will invite us to enjoy the prepared picnic. After having tasted the local specialities, the shortest version of the track will lead you back to Betancuria whereas the longer one will bring you via the palm tree valley to Vega de Rio Palma. The vegetation around the artificial lake is abundant. Your guide will explain to you about history, geology, culture, etc. The way back to Betancuria is through a dried river bed. Here you have time to visit the historic place and to enjoy a wine or a beer. Both tracks will offer nice views for pictures.

This trendy 2-star hotel is located at the same place where once the old house of the legendary “Mamma Maria” was. Mama Mariquita Hierro received in 1983 a gold medal for her efforts to promote local tourism. She started 60 years ago to cook in her house for the tourists who also came into her living room to take a rest. Every day she cooked the same food - soup, fish stew and the real “Gofio”. The hotel has been run by a Spanish family since.

The project with the above mentioned name is an initiative from Tito Di Pippo, an Italian artist who has been living in Fuerteventura for about one year. The concept is to exhibit art from local artists in empty shops to promote their work and to embellish the commercial area at the same time. He started this initiative some months ago in the CC El Campanario, Corralejo and has already received much interest.
