The annual Cocktail Party & Gourmet Dinner at El Patio de Lajares was, again, an exclusive event and a culinary experience. The scenery, the mouth-watering delicacies, the drinks and wines, and the service… it all came to harmony and made this evening unforgettable. Rainer was the only man standing in the kitchen and still managed to prepare the dishes on time for all those present. Hanna attended all tables with her love and care and let us feel welcome. A truly fine evening and a wonderful initiative… look at the pictures, enjoy them… and make sure you offer yourself a seat at the next occasion.
The bar/restaurant Boardriders was host to a splendid fashion show, held in the shopping centre "El Campanario". All participants were businesses, located in the centre. Find here a picture summary on the evening...

The yearly music festival "Fuerteventura en Musica" or "FuerteMusica" in short was held this year on 1&2/07 in Cotillo. The groups that performed were: Day1: Blues de Gofio, Expavi, Raimundo Amador, Terrakota
Day2: Alex Cuba, Domu Africa Dub Squad, Dervish, Juan Perro
The musical link between the groups was done by DJ Pablo DUB.
Situated in the beautiful scenery of the Cotillo beaches, the festival was once again a winner. Have a look for yourself:

El Casper's Bar es un local de chill out en Corralejo

Casper's Bar es un bar de cócteles belgas situado junto a la costa de Corralejo en Fuerteventura. Desde hace ya cinco años, su propietario, Pierre Houbrechts y su perro, un cocker spaniel llamado Casper, se asentaron en la isla y crearon lo que llaman un "bar chill out". El Casper's Bar es un lugar en el que disfrutar de un ambiente relajado y una atmósfera tranquila, con un decorado muy particular.
El Casper's cuenta con sillones cómodos adornados con cojines de colores, paredes coloridas y mesas que imitan los estilos de los jardines clásicos, pero es en el suelo donde se encuentra parte de su encanto. "Arena fuera, hierba dentro", bromea su dueño, porque parte del local tiene una base de césped, con sus mesas y encima y sus sillones alrededor, como una parte más del decorado.
Una particularidad que lo acerca a la tranquilidad, al ambiente chill out, pero que no lo aleja de la modernidad, por lo que todos los clientes tienen acceso gratuito a la conexión wi-fi que ofrecen dentro del local. Desde el Casper's hasta el mundo debería ser su lema, ¿te atreves a visitarles?
Hurley and Las Gatas organise their 2nd Fashion Show at Boardriders.
On Sat 23/04 at 21:00 Hurley and Las Gatas showed their collection of summer clothing at the famous Bar/Restaurant Boardriders in Corralejo. Las Gatas presented a new collection of exclusive Italian fashion designs and Hurley showed their summer and beach wear.
The event was spiced by DJ Sylvia's music and the evening continued with "High Tide" the famous Blues-Rock-Funk band from the UK.
All together a vibrant night with Dinner, Cocktails, Shows, Music & Dance. Whatelse do you need?

La Sala Municipal de Exposiciones de Corralejo acoge la exposición "Por Narices. Esencias y Fragancias naturales", organizada por la Obra Social "la Caixa" en colaboración con el Ayuntamiento de la Oliva. 6th INTERNATIONAL BLUES FESTIVAL CORRALEJO - FUERTEVENTURA.

The Blues Festival Corralejo 2011 included three main activities: the stage performances on the square Patricio Calero - Corralejo by 6 groups, the street performances by many local musicians and the frequent guest performances of the group High Tide in the Boardriders Bar/Restaurant in the popular shopping Centre El Campanario. Spirit of Fuerteventura has coverage on all of them, by video and/or by pictures. Have a look and enjoy!

La feria estava visitada principalmente por jovenes que han disfrutado de la oportunidad de probar los deportes presentados. La entrada estava libre y todos estavan invitado para probar los deportes nuevos o establecidos como: surfing de dunas, inmersión en piscina, karting, box, karate, lucha canaria, sumo, bola canaria, futbol, juegos de guerra (Gotcha) y mucho más. Los deportes más populares estavan bungee-jumping de una grua y patinar. Tambien estavan representados los deportes tipicos de Fuerteventura como el surfing y el buceo con Deep Blue Diving, Mystic y Swimfuerte. En general la feria estava prometedora con mucho potencial para el futuro.

After 2 successful years, the FWC have decided to adapt the concept of the event with the idea of further pushing the action! The riders will still judge themselves but will have fight to win the FWC 2011 individual tittle this time. To ensure sportsmanship and fairness we will have an independent head judge to oversee the event. La tienda de moda “Las Gatas” y el bar / comida Fusion “Boardriders” en Corralejo, Fuerteventura han organizado una noche espectacular. El desfile de modelos estava seguido para una fiesta explosiva con la selección de Mr. y Mrs. HURLEY. Mira las fotos…
It is the first Festival of its kind in Corralejo with a successful combination of crafts, games, education, acrobatics, music and food & drinks.
The event started slowly due to the very high temperatures, but once it cooled down, the initiative enjoyed a great success. Amongst all the fun for kids and adults, some highlights to mention were the donkey ride, the acrobatics (ACRO-D-ARTE) with breathtaking moves, the flamethrowers (A.C. Fuertemovimiento) and Le Caravan (Manouche). The latter performance really got the public so hysteric that they wouldn’t be allowed to stop playing. Especially the bluesy violin solo at the end got the audience in trance.
In short, it’s a truly excellent concept that merits a sequence. Just be there next time!
