  • German Kitesurf Trophy at Büsum
    This weekend, the German Kitesurf Trophy has its second tour stop of the year at Büsum / North Sea. After the last competition at Dahme, everyone is motivated to show the lastest tricks in the beautiful competition area:

    In addition to the action on the water there will also be two special events. During the contest, there will also be the "Kite and Rock" festival, where talented young bands will play for free to warm up for the later beach parties. Another special event will be the "Underground Slide Night", where a selected group of ten invited riders will perform their tricks on obstacles in the water. Best of all, this event will be held during the night, illuminated by floodlight.

  • Bernd Flessner strikes again
    The first tour stop of the German Windsurf Cup at Dranske / Rügen saw two days without any wind, but at the last day the conditions got better wind wind and sunshine and two races could be held. 14-times German champion Bernd Flessner used all his experience and won the races.

    At the first two days, all windsurfers took the time to fine-tune their equipment after the long and hard winter in Northern Germany and enjoyed the various side-events. When the conditions got better, everyone was very motivated to get on the water again. In the first race, Flessner had a bad start but caught up brilliantly to win the race ahead of youngster Sebastian Kördel. The second race was a clear winning start.

  • First ever Kitesurf Tour Europe stop finished

    The first ever Kitesurf Tour Europe tour stop was held in Podersdorf in Austria during the last few days. 44 riders from 14 nations performed a great show in front of incredible 40.000 vistors. The event started with Freestyle single elimination followd by 3 racings. Second, third and fourth day were utilized to run seven races.

    The race competition showed a close group of top rider: Danish Bjoern Rune Jensen won four races out of seven in total sailed and thus dominated the fleet in front of Van der Vlugt (29), dutch speed record holder with over 47 knots speed and two won races.   • German Windsurf Cup continues!
    After the winter break, the 2010 series of the German Windsurf Cup continues. All athlethes will come together at Dranske on the island Rügen in the German Baltic Sea to continue the fight for this year's title.

    Over 60 competitors have already registered for the event. They will compete in race, slalom and speed competitions. For the first time in the tour history, there will also be an "one-hour race": all riders start together on a long-distance course, and the rider who is able to finish the most rounds in one hour wins.

    We will see whether Bernd Flessner will continue his dominance from last years' season or if other riders like Gunnar Asmussen or Denis Standhard will be able to win at Dranske!
